Summary:
Perform composite part manufacturing tasks-including lay-up, cutting, bagging, autoclave, trimming, and repair-in a production environment.
Manufacture composite aircraft parts to meet specifications in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrate proficiency in Manufacturing Competencies during Employee Effectiveness Review.
Read work orders, blueprints, sketches, lofts, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations.
Use special tools and precision measuring devices (6" scale, 1" micrometer, 6" dial caliper).
Inspect work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection.
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs, DR/DI).
Keep work area clean and organized; support FOD and 5S programs and comply with safety regulations.
Participate in Lean initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1+ year of composite manufacturing experience
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position
Must be able to work any shift
Basic computer skills
Ability to work with composite resins and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including 6" scale
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
