Overview

The Assistant General Manager at Bloom Wellness Dispensary - Saint Paul will be responsible for supporting and managing a diverse team in driving results and delivering memorable, positive consumer experiences. The Assistant Manager will directly report to the General Manager.

Description

As the Assistant Manager, you will support the General Manager in ensuring that all daily operating procedures are performed while promoting a company image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of impeccable customer service. You will provide day-to-day inventory management, coordinate product orders from wholesalers, and be responsible for ensuring that inventory audits and reconciliations are routinely conducted and carry out various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in leading and managing activities related to customer experience, inventory operations, and team member development.
  • Support a culture of engagement and performance through coaching, feedback, and recognition.
  • Manage and oversee the execution of all dispensary operations to ensure the dispensary is compliant with security, inventory, and local and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with General Manager to hire and staff the dispensary and recruit a diverse set of skills among candidates.
  • Motivate team members to effectively execute programs, initiatives, and regionalized in-store promotions.
  • Oversee and manage quality product inventory, financial records, and Metrc compliance.
  • Maintain appropriate cash management, handling protocols and daily reconciliation.
  • Manage effective order & expense management processes aligned with store budgets.
  • Ensure facility compliance with all cannabis state-specific regulations and laws, as well as execute and enforce compliance efforts and requirements.
  • Execute hourly scheduling to align with business needs, target hours, and team member availability.
  • Hold team members accountable for accurate timekeeping, schedule compliance, and reliability.

Experience

  • Train and motivate Team Members to consistently deliver memorable, positive in-store customer experiences.
  • Actively supervise team members, provide recognition, and redirect behaviors to fuel the customer journey.
  • Execute seamless customer experience and lead teams to deliver consistency.
  • Coach Team Members to deliver goals, drive customer retention and repeat traffic.
  • Serve as a liaison to the local community and support community outreach events and initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable business experience
  • At least three years of managing teams in a retail setting, specifically with POS business operations
  • Cannabis and Metrc experience preferred
  • Inventory control experience preferred
  • Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needs
  • Must have reliable, responsible and dependable attendance.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID.
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Bloom Wellness
  • Must have a solid understanding of the Cannabis laws, rules and regulations and passion to further their understanding and knowledge of the industry and the laws.

Additional Requirements

  • Must have the ability to perform the following tasks for prolonged periods of time (i.e., up to the duration of a workday):
  • Move about the dispensary in order to fulfill work assignments and assist employees and patients and/or customers in various locations of the dispensary
  • Remain in a stationary position, if required, up to and including in an office setting, to meet the needs of the business and complete managerial tasks timely
  • Converse and communicate with individuals and groups of people directly
  • Operate point of sale system, computer, and other office productivity machinery in order to use online programming and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and email
  • Prepare patient and/customer orders by moving and placing products
  • Inspect and receive detailed information, such as patients' and/or customers' dates of birth, in-store or online orders, or inquiries
  • Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independently
  • Position self to move inventory and materials in storage areas
  • Patient and/or customer-facing environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions
  • Exposure to cannabis and/or allergens that might be present in an environment where cannabis is present and prevalent
