Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute high-quality U.S. patent applications
  

• Respond to office actions before the USPTO
  

• Conduct prior art, patentability, and freedom-to-operate analyses
  

• Collaborate directly with inventors, scientists, and cross-office teams
  

• Contribute to a supportive team environment focused on attorney growth and client service
  

Compensation:

The anticipated base salary range is $210,000–$275,000 , depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a biology-related field (molecular/cellular biology, genetics, immunology, or related)
  

• Admission to the USPTO
  

• State Bar admission (IL preferred)
  

• 4–6 years of top law firm patent prosecution experience in a broad range of biology applications
  

• Superior academic credentials and outstanding writing skills required
