Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and technology teams to define, document, and validate business requirements.

  • Analyze and document processes related to portfolio management, fund accounting, trade lifecycle, asset servicing, and risk management .

  • Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) , Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) , use cases , process maps , and data flow diagrams .

  • Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure business requirements are translated into effective technology solutions.

  • Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in test case preparation, validation, and defect resolution.

  • Drive business process improvements and digital transformation within the wealth and investment management ecosystem.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as MiFID II, FATCA, AML/KYC, and GDPR , and align deliverables with industry best practices.

  • Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and timely delivery of project outcomes.

  • Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies for sprint planning, backlog management, and collaborative solution development.

  • Create and maintain documentation in JIRA , Confluence , or other project management tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred).

  • 8–12 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the BFSI domain , specifically in Financial Services or Investment Management .

  • Strong knowledge of financial products - Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Mutual Funds, ETFs, and Alternative Investments .

  • Familiarity with front-office, middle-office, and back-office processes across trading, settlement, and reconciliation.

  • Experience working with portfolio management systems, trading platforms, and financial data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Charles River, Aladdin).

  • Proficiency in business process modeling , data mapping , and requirements documentation .

  • Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, with experience using JIRA and Confluence for project management.

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
