Job Description

Hales Electrical Service, Inc. is a leader in the area of back-up/stand-by power generated system installations and maintenance. We are currently looking for motivated personnel to add to our growing business in the following capacities:

Responsibilities/Duties: 

• Perform, with minimal supervision, all aspects of work relating to the Service and Troubleshoot/Repair of Generac generator systems. This includes air and liquid cooled units. 
• Must have the knowledge, skills, and ability to identify and repair through training, drawings, line drafts and schematics.
• Must be able to read, interpret, and create electrical drawings and/or schematics. 
• Must have a working knowledge of engines and be able to interpret and translate engine and repairs problems, and form estimates as deemed necessary. 
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be well organized. 
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as possess excellent customer interaction skills.

Qualifications: 

• High school graduate or equivalent. Higher education is desirable, but not required.
• The ideal candidate must possess and demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 pounds. 
• Must be able to work and drive in a variety of conditions and circumstances, to include, but not be limited to cold, heat, rain and snow. 
• The candidate must have a positive attitude, be team oriented, and have a desire to succeed. 
• Successful applicant must pass drug screen and criminal background check and possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to be insured.

This is a full time position with benefits and time off. This position will be on the call rotation list for emergency on call rotation. 

Pay range for this position is $22.00-$32.00/ hour based on skill and experience with a 90 day temporary period. Pay range for technicians increases as experience, aptitude, training and skill level demonstrated increase and is upwards to $38.00 per hour.
