INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

A leading AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group . This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge clients and technologies across complex patent litigation matters, including PTAB/IPR proceedings, district court litigation, and ITC investigations.

Candidate Profile

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record .
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing.
• 2–5 years of substantive experience in patent litigation , including experience before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), in U.S. District Courts , and/or in Section 337 investigations at the International Trade Commission (ITC).
• Undergraduate or advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related technical field .
• Familiarity with source code and technical aspects of patent enforcement is strongly preferred .
• Demonstrated ability to manage key aspects of litigation , including discovery , motion practice , expert work , and trial preparation .
• Soft Skills: Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with a keen attention to detail and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in high-stakes patent disputes involving cutting-edge technologies.

• Support all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, claim construction, trial, and appeal.

• Participate in proceedings before the U.S. District Courts , the PTAB , and the ITC .

• Analyze and evaluate complex technical issues with experts and internal teams.

• Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice areas to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

• Engage directly with clients to develop strategies for enforcement, defense, and resolution of patent disputes.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: Includes an expected salary range of $235,000 – $365,000 , commensurate with experience, bonus eligibility, and profit-sharing .
