Shift: Day (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
40 hours per week guaranteed
30-minute meal break
Monday–Friday schedule (no weekends)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist (RPh) to join our team on a 6-week contract assignment in Farmingdale, NY. The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, verifying prescription accuracy, and providing guidance to patients and healthcare providers. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, verify, and dispense medications accurately in compliance with prescriptions and regulatory standards.
Review medication orders for safety, appropriateness, interactions, and contraindications.
Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, side effects, and proper storage.
Maintain precise pharmacy records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize therapeutic outcomes and patient safety.
Oversee medication storage, handling, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
Active and valid Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in New York State (required).
Prior experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy settings (preferred).
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and medication safety practices.
