Job Description

Location: Watertown, NY, 13601

Duration: 13-Weeks Contract

Schedule: 12-hr Nights | 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Weekly Pay Range: $2,232 $2,376; (Negotiable based on experience)

Guaranteed Hours: 36/week guaranteed

• Provide nursing care for laboring women, including monitoring fetal and maternal status
• Perform vaginal exams to assess labor progress
• Circulate during cesarean sections and assist with recovery of spinal anesthesia
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Educate patients and families on the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Respond rapidly and effectively to life-threatening emergencies
• Prioritize and delegate tasks appropriately in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines

• Current New York State RN license (required).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
• Ability to perform vaginal examinations.
• Ability to circulate for cesarean sections and recover patients after spinal anesthesia.
• Must have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations.
