Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist

Contract Duration: Typically 39 weeks (school year-based)
Estimated Pay: Varies by location (e.g., $1875-$2446/week)
Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for performing student evaluations, developing and implementing therapy services, and documenting progress in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs). The OT works collaboratively with educators, families, and other school-based professionals to support students' functional participation in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations of students' motor, sensory, and cognitive skills.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress.
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development.
Educate school staff on strategies to support students' occupational needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
One (1) year of prior professional OT experience preferred.
CPR certification (if applicable).
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable).
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
